FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTIONS
What is the difference between SF-08B and SF-08C?
SF-08B uses fixed ventilation and a 6-point suspension and is available with EN 397 -30°C optional performance. SF-08C features larger side vents and an adjustable open/close airflow control for hotter workplaces.
Are both models Type I Class C hard hats?
Tested configurations of SF-08B and SF-08C have been assessed to ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) Type I Class C requirements. Confirm the exact model, markings and report scope before ordering.
Are both models covered by EN 397?
No. The current EN 397 certificate applies to SF-08B in the specified configuration. SF-08C should not be marketed as EN 397 certified unless separate supporting documentation is provided.
Can the ventilation openings be closed?
SF-08C has an adjustable open/close ventilation system. SF-08B uses fixed ventilation openings that cannot be closed.
What does Class C mean?
Class C head protection provides impact protection but no electrical insulation. Do not use these models where protection from electrical conductors is required.
Can these helmets be used for climbing or work at height?
These configurations are industrial Type I hard hats. They should not be marketed as EN 12492 climbing or work-at-height helmets. Choose a separately tested model such as SF-08C-02 for those applications.
What customization options are available?
Available options include shell color, logo printing, suspension, chin strap, labels and export packaging. Customization availability and MOQ depend on the selected model and specification.
