FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTIONS
What protection rating does the SF-16A provide?
The tested SF-16A configuration meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) Type I Class E requirements. Type I is designed primarily for overhead-impact protection.
Is the SF-16A suitable for electrical work?
Its tested configuration passed the Class E electrical-insulation requirements. Final selection must still follow the employer’s electrical-safety program, hazard assessment and applicable regulations.
Does the SF-16A have ventilation holes?
No. The SF-16A uses a non-vented shell. For a ventilated option, consider the separately certified SF-16B EN 397 model.
Is the carbon-fiber pattern made from genuine carbon fiber?
No. It is a carbon-fiber-look water-transfer print applied to the helmet surface. It provides a premium appearance but is not a genuine carbon-fiber shell.
What colors are available?
Available colors include black, blue, orange, red, white and yellow. Custom color matching can be evaluated for bulk orders.
Can we customize the logo and packaging?
Yes. OEM options include logo printing, shell colors, suspension configurations, chin straps, labels and custom packaging.
Is the SF-16A a Type II helmet?
No. It is an ANSI Type I helmet intended primarily for overhead-impact protection. It should not be promoted as providing Type II lateral-impact protection.
