FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTIONS
What is the noise reduction rating of SF-EM01?
SF-EM01 provides SNR 29 dB under EN 352-3:2020 and NRR 23 dB under ANSI S3.19-1974 (R2007) in the tested configuration. SNR and NRR are based on different rating systems and should not be directly converted.
Is SF-EM01 covered by an EU certificate?
SF-EM01 is covered by a Module B EU Type-Examination Certificate as Category III PPE to EN 352-3:2020. CE marking for production also requires the applicable ongoing conformity-assessment route and an EU Declaration of Conformity.
Which safety helmets are compatible?
The supplied reports specifically cover SF-EM01 mounted on the SF-06B helmet. Compatibility with other helmets, side slots or mounting adapters must be confirmed before purchase and should not be assumed.
Can the earmuffs be moved away from the ears?
Yes. The pivoting mounting arms allow the cups to move between working and standby positions while remaining attached to the helmet.
Are the cushions and liners replaceable?
Yes. The EN 352-3 test report records both the ear cushions and liners as replaceable, supporting easier cleaning and maintenance.
Is one size suitable for different users?
The tested product passed the small, medium and large adjustment ranges. Correct adjustment and a complete seal around the ears remain essential for effective protection.
Can the color and packaging be customized?
Color matching, branding and packaging options are available subject to production confirmation. The materials, sealing structure and mounting components must remain consistent with the approved or tested configuration.
Will users always receive 29 dB of protection?
Not necessarily. Laboratory attenuation values are used for product comparison. Actual workplace protection can be lower due to incorrect adjustment, poor cushion sealing, incompatible helmets, hair, eyewear or other PPE interfering with the fit.
